07:50 AM ET 08.18 | Brandon Marshall is battling the dropsies in Miami. Marshall is in a little slump of sorts lately. He didn't have a particularly good scrimmage two weeks ago, when he had at least one dropped pass. He didn't have a good preseason debut Saturday because he dropped two passes. He dropped another pass in the end zone during practice Monday, leading him to pick up the football in frustration and punt it over the fence that surrounds the practice facility. ... Said Tony Sparano: "I have every trust and confidence in the world that Brandon is going to make those plays."

It's not the heat. It's the humidity.

At this point, this isn't much of a problem. He's proven in the past he's an elite receiver and I doubt he'll carry this on for much further.

I would tend to agree with you. If Henne is as advertised then Marshall will be fine.

Every team needs guys who can function under pressure, and deal with the split-second timing necessary to be a success.
Sign the photographer who actually got a shot of a ball in Marshall's hands.

Actually, Brandon Marshall was taking the day off. The dark face shield hides the fact that his place was taken on the field by international man of mystery...Zoltan Mesko!

Isn't that why they practice before the season starts? To get back into game shape?
If the owners have their way, there would be one more pre season game and the season would start a week from this Thursday. That would not be good football.

I guess with Cutler and Orton he wasn't used to having balls thrown right at him.

Theres not an owner anywhere who wants to start the season as early as you just said. You sound like some agent with that BS

I do believe that Fifty has correctly articulated the position of the owners. They want an "enhanced season" of 18 games, to be offset by a reduced pre-season of only 2 games. Now, maybe they want to start the pre-season a couple of weeks later, pushing the playoffs into mid-February, but the overall concept is exactly what we could be seeing next year.

Hello Houston, you have a problem.
The owners want to play two preseason games and 18 regular season games. Do tell, where do those two extra games go? Superbowl in March?
Do the math and get back to me. And do not forget the bye week.
Next Thursday, Aug. 25th would be the premiere game to open the season, followed by Sunday the 29th of August the rest of the league.
Back up your BS with a something tangible. Try it sometime.

Oh, that was part of the new Health Care law. With the new 54-week year, it will take longer to reach retirement age, so the government saves on Medicare costs.
