07:46 AM ET 08.18 | Tempers flared Tuesday in St. Louis. And maybe that's a good thing. "You're agitated out here anyways," said defensive end Chris Long, who was a headliner in the second fracas. "You're in a bad mood. You should be. We were 1-15 last year. We're (upset). We're in training camp." ... "This is the most spirited practice I've seen all summer," said longtime NFL personnel executive Gil Brandt, in St. Louis on his Sirius XM radio training camp tour. Coach Steve Spagnuolo didn't seem to mind the rough stuff. Then again, after Saturday's 28-7 dud against Minnesota, at least the Rams were hitting somebody.

Gonna be another long year for the Ewes... but at least they have a QB now.

When you lose 28-7 in pre-season to a team whose QB hasn't even reported yet, you'd better be (upset.) It looks like any games the Lambs win this year will be an (upset.) Get some Rolaids, Spags, you're going to have an (upset) stomach by the time this is over.

Rick Gosselin (Dallas Morning News) was in StL yesterday - he said the only improvement he sees from last year with this team is at the QB position.

That's not very promising for this year...

Here I thought, the Vikings, had the lock on Dysfunctional training camp.

Yup. However, if they don't protect him, he'll just be another David Carr.

And even then, how much improvement will there really be after Bradford continuously gets smashed into the ground and it de-rails his season? It's one thing to simply have a QB of the future, it's a completely different thing giving him a real chance to succeed. Not likely here.

Wow...really riling up those Rams. the league is very scared now!!! they will have the first pick in '11.

Bradford is justified in making what he does...he will take a beating this year

I think we all do, Chief.

Gibson is a marginal, undrafted, player who has drifted around and spent most of the last few years injured. He has started a handful a games in his career. He is looking to show how tough he is. Those are the guys that look to get noticed in camp. Fights cover your lack of ability-sometimes.

Reports on dust-ups between so-so players in training camp = "nothing to say about this team at this time".

Yea, an unproven rookie who only took a couple games worth of snaps last year. Good Luck!!!!

I'll never understand why Spags took this job.

there was $$$ anywhere he went. He could've stayed in NY as the DC, made HC money and left for a better opportunity. I think his ego made him think he could fix the Rams....but the truth is, it was probably going to take more than 1 regime to fix that franchise.

Very true. It's hard to fix years of decay in a short period of time no matter how good a coaching pedigree you have. Usually the owners don't have the patience to wait more than a few seasons.

And he would have been the man in waiting when Coughlin retires or is not renewed.
It must have been ego. He turned down the Redskins in 2008. Who knows.
