08:30 AM ET 08.20 | While there are walkling wounded in South Bend, the Irish may not have to fret. [Several starters] or potential starters sat out the afternoon workout at the LaBar Practice Complex. The good news about the relatively bad news is that none of the players should be sidelined beyond mid-week next week. "We should have all hands on deck by Tuesday, Wednesday next week," Kelly said following the workout. "Looking at the ledger, there's nobody I'm concerned about going to Purdue (Sept. 4)."

I am glad that Brian Kelly's sleep isn't loose. It's a load off my mind.

He's losing sleep over the idea of trying to surpass the accomplishments of the Great Charlie Weiss.

Yes...he has a respectable belly, but nothing compared to the decided schematic advantage of ol' Jabba. It's going to take a lot of days at the training table to get up to Weis levels of girth. I for one don't think he can do it.

Now here's the opposite of Saban... a real Pollyanna.

I know I am not the sharpest knife in the drawer (being a Bama grad and all) but I have no idea what this means.
