Purdue running back Jaycen Taylor is likely out for the season with a broken left arm, Purdue coach Joe Tiller said after Saturday's 45-22 win over Central Michigan. "I don't expect him back this year," Tiller said. Taylor, a junior, left Saturday's game for good after a 5-yard run late in the first quarter. Tiller said Taylor will have surgery on Monday, and he'll be eligible for a medical redshirt.

Sorry to hear that he is out for the season. Purdue looked pretty solid in that game. I know it was Central Michigan but stull.

My stab was in jest. I would never wish pain upon any team .. except USC, UCLA, (pretty much anything from Cali), Auburn, Alabama, Miami, Michigan, Notre Dame, Clemson, Florida, Arkansas, Ohio State, Penn State, Michigan, Oregon, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Ole Miss, Miss St. , LA Tech, Tulane, ... ummmm..... I think thats about.....yeah I think thats it.

This does hurt, but thankfully Kory Sheets is definitely no slouch; he came pretty close to retaining his starting job in the spring. Purdue will be okay, but they could have been better with Taylor in there.

Taylor is the backup to Kory Sheets. Sheets is the better back. This is not a big loss. Freshman Dan Dierking can fill the void just fine.
