09:08 AM ET 08.21 | Brad Hawpe has drawn the interest of the Rangers, who are without one former All-Star in right field until the end of the month and could turn to another to fill a hole. Hawpe, who played at Fort Worth Boswell High School, was designated for assignment by Colorado on Thursday and was instantly linked to the Rangers because of his relationship with hitting coach Clint Hurdle, a former Rockies manager.

Brad Hawpe will be a great pick-up for the Teas Rangers, when it happens; Surprised Hawpe is still availible because there are several teams still in the pennet race in both the American and Natinal League who could sure use his services... Maybe going home to Texas and being re-united with Hurdle will help improve his offense some
