Hit on Rutgers QB ignites mini-brawl

10:03 AM ET 08.22 | In a strange, football kind of way, quarterback Tom Savage said he not only didn't mind the hard (and ill-advised) hit delivered on him by safety Khaseem Greene when his guard was down during today's scrimmage, he actually enjoyed it. Savage was "in the neighborhood," acting as if he might try to stop Joe Lefeged on a 49-yard fumble return that wound up as a touchdown. As Savage watched Lefeged cross the goal line, he never saw the hit coming from Greene. That ignited a mini-brawl led by offensive guard Desmond Wynn, who went after Greene. The rest of the offensive line followed him, with the defense going to Greene's aid. Rutgers quarterbacks wear green jerseys as a reminder to defenders that they're hands off.

They had a pretty good season back in 2006, 10-2 with a bowl victory.
