08:25 AM ET 08.23 | Eddie House has played for nine NBA teams, and the well-traveled role player is returning to an early home. House has been around the block. Now, he's joined the circus. He will report to the Miami Heat on Monday, forming alliances with LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh and others. One of the game's more likable characters will begin assimilating with the most reviled team in the NBA. "I compare it to the year I went to Boston when the Big 3 got together in 2007," House said. "But this is going to be even bigger. This is going to be Boston on steroids."

Kind of funny how Eddie House, a jilted ex-Celtic, has all of this wisdom. They may have more collective talent matching big three with big three, but the Celtics had something that the Heat may not. Desperation. The Celtics were getting old, had been through the grind, all three had been to the Conference Finals and couldn't get over the hump. It was kind of a "if this doesn't work, nothing will" scenario. The Heat threesome are still in their mid-20's. I don't know they'll have that same drive. When Garnett and Allen went to the Celtics, they had a press conference and Pierce was there. They didn't hold a t.v. special and then dance around in Boston like fools for a crowd of fans. The Boston three also had one more thing: Complementary games. Allen is a spot up shooter, or he can come off screens. Pierce can spot up or handle the ball. Garnett is a post guy. I don't think Lebron and Wade's games mesh that well. Neither are spot up jump shooters. Both need the ball to create. Only time will tell.

I think he's saying that Boston's three has a combined 3 rings. Miami's has a combined 1.

You might sell more of your awesome products if your sales pitch was written better. Call me crazy, but I don't think online shoppers are rushing to get their credit cards in order to buy things from people with little more than 4th grade education and internet access. Just saying.

I am a self admitted Heat and Lebron hater. :) Until the Heat wins some championships like Boston's big 3, they need to keep their traps shut. Unless they can match the Celtics unselfish attitude on offense and grit and selflessness on defense it's going to be very difficult for them to win multiple championships. The Celtics play championship TEAM defense on a consistent basis. It's hard to see any of the Heat's units developing defensively like that. Offensively they will no doubt be a load to deal with, but defense wins championships so we shall see.

You don't get three players entering their prime to join forces. That's cowardice on Lebron's part given Wade and Bosh had already formed the union. Y'd think he's stay in Cleveland or go elsewhere and look to battle but eh.. LeQuit...he's easy like sunday morning.
I know it's not uncommon to see players get together. Barkley, Drexler and Pippen joined forces in Houston when they were past their prime. They lost to the Lakers. Boston's big three were also way past their prime when they got together - that's what makes their win special and respectable. You can't say the same for Miami even if they win.

Though I'm not quite sure what prompted me to answer for jgb, I'll continue. In "Big Three" comparisons, Boston's has 3 combined rings (Allen-1, Pierce-1, Garnett-1) to Miami's 1 combined ring (Wade-1, Bosh and Lebron-0). If you wanted to add up the rings held by the entire team, Boston still wins, because Shaq alone covers the extra rings with Haslem and House (1 each).

Also just for the record I'm a Celtics hater too, but I have the utmost respect for the organization, the coach, the players and their work ethic. For them to make that run last year at their age was a testimony to team ball and grit. It would be easy to dismiss them again this year but I learned my lesson last year...LOL...

Not sure if any of this matters, until they play each other and see who's standing at the end of the year. People counted the C's out last year too and they ended up going to the finals so I will wait to see if they have something left before I comment since they just missed winning another ring by a couple of games. The Heat still have to play some games together so any predictions are premature prognostications!

Just beating a dead horse at this point. Even people who despise LBJ and Co. are sick of this.

I think the comment where House is joining the circus is inaccurate. I do believe he is completing the circus.
