Mt. Zion, Jonesboro running back Martin Ward, who backed off a commitment to Georgia earlier this year, has South Carolina slightly ahead of Clemson, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, Ole Miss and Purdue.

A running back that wants to play for Spurrier? Is he sure because unless he can throw the ball...

September 18, 2007  08:44 AM ET

Ole Ball Coach wanted me to promise I would win 5 National Championships....I thought that was a little unrealistic

September 18, 2007  08:45 AM ET

I need a Hug

September 18, 2007  09:50 AM ET

Thats right, get that running game going and S. Carolina will be unstopable. Nobody thought Spurrier would turn that program around, apparently i know more than the "sports experts"

September 18, 2007  10:13 AM ET

Oh, that program is going to be turned around alright. LSU is going to turn them around, upside-down, and inside out. The "ole ball coach" will be lucky to escape with his "ole balls!"

September 18, 2007  10:23 AM ET

Now that's funny Wrytiger.....I got a good chuckle out of that. No doubt USCe has something to prove against LSU, but it may prove to be fruitless.

September 18, 2007  12:33 PM ET

I agree g13 Davis needs a back and this kid could be one of those players who could help him turn that program around.

September 18, 2007  01:35 PM ET

OK about time for someone to say the SEC sucks and start ww3 in here...when will it be?

September 18, 2007  02:09 PM ET

Jerzy Man - Since when was SC turned around??? I would hardly call 3-5 in the SEC last year turned around. And this year they beat a very young, inexperience, and not very good UGA team. So when did this turn around happen?

The #12 ranking is unwarranted and laughable at best.

September 18, 2007  03:45 PM ET

Does anyone else want a hug from me?

September 18, 2007  03:46 PM ET

I bet Ole Ball Coach is difficult to play for, I much rather prefer playing for Coach Charlie cuz he lets me do my own thing and whatnot

September 18, 2007  04:29 PM ET

Nah PickleBoy, I ain't hugging you. N.D. got enough priests around. Let them hug you.

September 18, 2007  04:30 PM ET

xxx84xxx: that person will not be me. I might like to make jokes at other people's expense but i'm not that stupid.

September 18, 2007  06:49 PM ET

South Carolina?? Really??? BAhahahahah...good choice. Hhhmmm, Spurrier or Meyer? Meyer or Spurrier? Yep Spurrier is the best......... good luck with that. Hey, go to Duke - if you are looking for playing time and all..

September 18, 2007  07:09 PM ET

Boring.

September 18, 2007  11:37 PM ET

First things first, here's a hug for you pickleboy.

to the lsu fan above, i'm not saying usc will beat lsu this weekend, but Spurrier will have his boys ready. your defense still hasn't face a good offense. be careful. what was spurrier's record in Baton rouge at Florida?

September 19, 2007  12:14 AM ET

SC will always be a second tier SEC team. They nught win a few more games than they used too (i.e. Georgia this year) but they will NEVER NEVER go to Atlanta. Not with Tenn Fla and GA in the division

Spurrier is so great for the game, and his haters are classic wimps....
