08:17 AM ET 08.25 | Ricky Rubio is impressing ... again. Rubio was simply terrific in Euroleague and ACB competition this year, showing the attributes which made him the No. 5 pick in a good draft. He's back, hoping to help Spain defend its FIBA World Championship title. The spotlight will be as bright as ever with Jose Calderon ruled out, launching Ricky into the starting role. Per usual, American players raved after Rubio's performance in Sunday's tight warm-up game.

He looks pretty good out there, gotta admit. Excited to see him give the NBA a try.

Too bad he doesn't want to come to the NBA.

Oh he wants to come, just to the knicks or nets and not the we got 16 PG on our roster already and will win 18 games Twolves. No marketing $$$$ in Minnesota. As Gordon Gecko so eloquantly put it> It's always about the money and everything else is just conversation to make you feel good.

Rubio the next Chris Paul? Nah he's not offensively polished. He's more like the next Luke Ridnour.

I can't say that he won't be the 'next' anything, but by the same token, I can't say that he will. Ultimately, many of the guys if not all have the potential, but you have to actually put in the work and that's the part that you can never forecast.

I've never seen his true stats but I'm prety sure he'll have to do better than 7 points and 3 assists in the NBA to not be considered a bust... and really... Not a Hornets fan but Chris Paul is in aleague of his own...maybe one or two other guys out there can play the point on both sides of the floor as good as he can... we may have to give the kid a few more years before he becomes the next great PG.

i think he'll be exposed in the league....i don't think he can handle guarding paul, rose, rondo, dwill, parker, davis (NBA talent) on a nightly basis.

Minnesota OWNS his rights. He's not going anywhere else.
Remember, those of you who cheered LeBron's move...you said his contract was up and it "just business."

Minnesota OWNS Rubio's rights. It's just business.

He's not going anywhere else.
