Sampson's kid still undecided

Ralph Sampson has taken a visit unofficially to Kentucky in late August, and was at Minnesota the weekend of Sept. 8. He liked both schools equally well, but said neither is a favorite at this point. He could visit Georgia Tech and Maryland sometime in the next month. He also still lists Virginia Tech, Clemson, Auburn and South Carolina as other possibilities. He told us after the Minnesota visit that; "No one leads at this point, it's just too early!"

I say you go with Tubby. Help build that squad!

Here's hoping that you can stay healthier than your creampuff daddy

September 19, 2007  11:23 AM ET

He will probably get more shine at Minnesota.

There ya go Jerzy Man...that's what puts **** in the seats!!!!!

September 19, 2007  03:46 PM ET

I think he needs to call up John Thompson III and try to attend Georgetown University because even if the doesn't go to the NBA he can still be guaranteed an education. .............THE BIGGEST HOYAS FAN "33"

It's Virginia.

September 19, 2007  04:04 PM ET

Can't see this kid wanting to follow his pops footsteps. That's why you should rule out U.V.A.

September 19, 2007  04:05 PM ET

I think he should go to Tech.....

September 19, 2007  05:45 PM ET

"THE TRUTH" is the real creampuff. What a stupid comment

September 19, 2007  06:56 PM ET

I think he needs to join the Huggins era at WVU!

September 20, 2007  09:57 AM ET

Mountain...,

Join Huggy, for what to be placed on probation or have no coach in 2 years. Huggy is about as stable a housing market right now.

September 21, 2007  06:55 PM ET

He should play Division 2. That way, if he has his father's knees, he'll still be competitive athletically!

September 22, 2007  04:53 AM ET

If you want to shine you go to UK? You won't get on t.v. playing for a lower echelon team in that division. UK isn't that great now so it wouldn't be that hard to become the go to guy there. Minnesota's alright but who'd pick any ACC or SEC after Minnesota?

September 23, 2007  06:31 PM ET

UK, lower echelon? Gillespie's got the cats roaring again. Minnesota's coach is what put UK into the "lower echelon" and you are advocating attending that school? Look for the cats to be a perennial powerhouse again with the recruiting job Gillespie is doing. Join the cats Ralph and enjoy the ride.

If he goes to Minnesota, the idiot Tubby will waste his potential. Smith was, is and will always be a worthless coach. The guy can't recruit and places a yoke on talent.

Go to UK, Sampson.....and you will win a National Championship and be taken in the 1st Round to the NBA. Guaranteed money.

September 23, 2007  06:43 PM ET

I give the Tub 4 years before Minnesota tires of his sorry act and chases him out of town. I can't wait for the media to get wise to that sorry coach.

Oh by the way, if UK is where the tops recruits should go, and MN is in the "lower echelon". Then why this year was MN just behind UK in recruiting rankings? Since we all know MN wont be good this year.
