08:00 AM ET 08.26 | A ranking of the league's best power forwards finds Amar'e Stoudemire rising to No. 3 despite losing one of the game's best point guards. Free to fly in New York, Stoudemire will miss the presence of Steve Nash in his backcourt ... until he realizes that he's probably the best pure paint scorer this league has, and that he can drop 25 points with or without the expertly placed pass.

Yeah... right!
But - if Melo shows up there then I may have to rethink this.

Amare can drop 25 a night but what about his rebounds, the guy can't get you 10 reb a night with all that athleticism. Amare will struggle, Felton doesn't make anybody better, this is going to be interesting.

All I had to do was read the title so say NO FREAKING WAY. Amare thrived off the pick and roll - clearly one of Nash's specialties. He's going to miss that little Canadian.

I really don't know the point of this article. We all know Stoudemire will be under scrutiny just for playing in NY and being without Nash adds to the plot. If anything we should prepare ourselves for a limited production because we've seen what became of the Matrix without Nash. Nonetheless I expect him to do better because he will be playing in the same system that made him what he is now and also Felton is better than an average point guard.
If he even averages 15, 8, 2 and Knicks are in the midst of a playoff chase job well done.

I wouldn't call a point guard that led Bobcats to the playoffs under strict Larry Brown coaching average. However STAT has to master the 15 foot jumper else we'll be asking for our Lee back and calling for D'Anotnis roster. We have a decent team and he better win. A 1 - 9 start and he's out.

You can't say that. STAT was thriving under Marbury as well.

That was when Marbury was playing at a very high level, so again it kinda proves evryone's point. Felton is not better than either one of those guys he had in PHO

He's a talent but nowhere near as talented as a multiple MVP PG in Nash. The main point of their offense was that when Nash drove people had to pay attention because he could kill you all by himself, he made perfect passes almost everytime, and read defenses with ease, Felton is not that guy.

Bu that's fine. Great players find a way to make themselves more efficient in every situation that's why the need for Amare to master the jumper is critical at this point of his career. He has enough passion for the game to get that done. He'll be fine and so will the Knicks.

I'm not saying that the Knicks are gonna suck or anything like that, but while Amare is a beast, Nash definitely was a major reason he was so dominant.

Raymond felton is solid, he's moving from a controlled offense, to an under 5 sec offense...perhaps this the only factor that matters
