08:23 AM ET 08.27 | No matter what you hear, Nick Saban has room for more of the best talent in the country. "I've never said anything about the talent that we stockpile," he said. "That's strictly you all's opinion and the guys from Scout.com and wherever. ... Because most guys that come to college do not know what it takes to be a good player in college. A lot of guys who came to the NFL as rookies didn't know what it took to be a good player in the NFL either. They have to go through some growing pains. ... And when they do that, then they have talent. I don't know where we're stockpiling all this stuff at, but we've got room for lots more."

So does this mean he's looking for a 2nd team that can could crack the top 10, or a 3rd team that could crack the top 25?And he needs to lose that outfit. That hat doesn't work for him as well as it did for Bowden.

Already has those...looking for a practice squad that can crack the top 25...no body wore the hat quite like Bowden...it is akin to Joe P's trendy eyewear

As much as I have a man crush on Saban (while he is the Bama coach) I have to admit as an NFL coach he su<ked. That is all the more reason I do not believe he will go back to the NFL. [Pachy crosses fingers, toes, eyes, balls, anything that can be crossed]

I hate to be on topic, but I know what Saban is saying. Every other team is telling recruits that if they go to Bama, they will be buried on the depth chart. When you are on top, its one of the few things going against you.

Without knowing him at all its a guess on my part. Some people, when they fail at something, want to get back on the horse and try again. Who knows with him. He seems like that kind of guy. Just do what I do with Mack and Will. enjoy it while it lasts because it will end someday.

Meyer will be at Florida forever so I don't have to worry about this.

He's taking the family on vacation to Michigan to see the fall colors before the hectic season really begins. That's were the confusion started.

"'Bama has room for more talent."

Wow, I guess that makes them different from... well... no one, really.

If you're good enough, you play. A lot of kids like the competition and think they are good enough. Makes sense to me.
