08:09 AM ET 08.28 | With All-Star Carmelo Anthony and his representatives having delivered a virtual ultimatum to the Nuggets about trading him, the Nets are viewed as one of the teams with the strongest chance of landing the 6-foot-8 forward. Why? "They have the pieces to trade and the draft picks," one NBA team executive said. "He'd play for them. Yes, I do think the Nets have a legit shot."

No way the Nets need a scrub like Anthony. They have a rookie by the name of tyrone petishot this year. Definately a surprise golden find. Hes gonna challenge for MVp this year starting a string of consistant 30 point 15 boards performances.
Tyrone gonna be the new NBA bestest ever playa. Nets win it all this year even maybe go undefeated due to tyrone.

Well, at least they aren't saying the Knicks will land him. Maybe the NY Post finally realized that no big free agents (or players for that matter) aside from Stoudemire will go there, no matter how much they try to force feed that to the public.

Why go to the Clippers of the East? Follow your heart boy. Make that dream of Melo, Stat, CP3 happen. Nets will have to gut their roster to get you and y're back to square one so what's the use. In any event whatever you decide to do y're still cool Melo.

carmelo should go to boston

August 28, 2010  09:37 AM ET

Houston is the best fit for melo

@ABFuture and @Lostwill, the Miami Heat had to gut their roaster as well but it really doesn't matter when you're getting players like Melo, Amar'e, and Tony Parker/Chris Paul. A good GM can make it happen. The Celtics also had to gut their roaster in 08. They had 4 starters starting in 08 that hadn't started for them the previous year (Ray, KG, Rondo, and Perk)

When you're getting HIGH caliber players, the supporting cast can be replaced. It worked for Boston and i think it will work for Miami. The fact is, you CAN'T be hesitant to bring in MULTIPLE superstars because of you're supporting roaster.

As a GM, i'm saying give me Melo, Amar'e, and CP3 and the rest will take care of itself.

Apparently FN isn't aware of anything except Carmelo and where he might end up. I'm just trying to help.

Danny Ferry, who earned championship rings both as a Spurs player and a member of the team???s basketball operations department, will return to the franchise to try and help the club position for another title run. Ferry, who resigned as general manager of the Cleveland Cavaliers ahead of LeBron James??? free agency defection in July, officially will be announced as a member of the Spurs??? front office by week???s end.

I think Chris Paul and Tony Parker have come to the conclusion that their teams are no longer title contenders and thats fair but Melo is going about things all the wrong. At least LeBron finished out his contract. This guy Melo is just being a baby. I heard none of this nonsense before LeBron, Bosh, and Wade hooked up. Melo is just being a follower. I think if he could, Melo would want to play for the Heat as well.

As this charade continues, my dislike towards Carmelo is growing. I felt the same about Kobe in.....(what was it, 06?) 06 when he also cried about wanting out.

Carmelo Vasquez has shown NO heart, class, or integrity during this. I think comparing today's athletes to the athletes of the 70s 80s and early 90s is an insult because today's athletes don't have the heart. Not even close.
