McEnroe: Women shouldn't play as much as men

Three of the top five women seeds at the U.S. Open starting Monday at Flushing Meadows have never won a major, while several of the very best players from the past decade are missing in action, or a shadow of themselves due to injuries. John McEnroe, with typical bluntness and lack of political correctness, states that the women are playing too much tennis for their own good. "I think that it's asking too much of the women," McEnroe said this week during a CBS conference call. "They shouldn't be playing as many events as the men."

Actually he's better off letting the women comment on these issues. I doubt that women want him deciding anything for them.
