Just following suit I guess

Another player for NY ??? ........Eddy Curry for Jamal.

but, I guess Jamal figure out that Atlanta is more that likely,... NOT going to make him an offer cause this year Al Horford rookie contact is up and when Atlanta gives AL an extension, there will be not money left for Jamal ;(

He is great if you just need offense off the bench. Remember this is the guy Don Nelson sat down because his defense was so poor.

why wont atlanta just give him the extension hes only about 30 years old n he still has game

Hawks plan is to move the best playoff choker to one of the teams under the cap most notably the Wolves or Nets. The thinking is that it'll make Hawks management to get the best they can get for him as he will not have a choice in where he goes. Wolves, Nets and Clippers have the cap space, players and draft picks to make it happen. So even though the max contract looked stupid on the part of management it fits into their long term plan.

Crawford will be told of the plan because as soon as Choker is shipped out there'd be enough money to sign him and Horford and also have expiring contracts and draft picks for the future.

Hawks weren't stupid in shelling out the dough. If they didn't they would have lost him for nothing. Now they have leverage and they can get a whole lot back.

Smart thinking and good foresight. Chillout Crawford! You will be taken care of for showing up when it mattered most. That aging chokester will soon be chilling with the bottom feeders of the league. Now I'm starting to think Khan is smart!

Well like I said, Al Horford comes First...so a Rudy Gay type contact for AL $14m, and add that to Atlanta CAP for 2011-12 of $51.4m, making it $65.4m, and then the Luxury Tax kicks in this year at $72m ? ...leaving only $7m to spend before the TAX, maybe...depends on the New NBA-CBA

Pay me or trade me. Really, Bro?

So why would the other teams give up picks and expiring contracts for an overpriced choker?

I don't know why you guys are harping on him so much. With a possible lock out and new CBA on the way, better to get extension now while he can. The differences is millions.

If ur Minny, Toronto, Clippers or Nets that can't get players to naturally want to play in your city getting a locked up Joe Johnson is better than ezra.
