Will NHL snub 2014 Sochi Olympics?

So playing in the Olympics in Italy, Japan, and Canada were good business, but not in Russia? I don't get that way of thinking at all. There are alot of Russian stars and superstars in the NHL. Doesnt that make for alot of Russian fans as well? And I imagine alot of the other euro and asian nations fans will travel to see these stars as well.

Do you really think it's good for the NHL to not show up for t\he Russians? They showed up for us CAN, and the U.S, and Nagano as well, and Torino. Including 2014 3 of 5 games are being held in a hockey superpower's backyard! See if this helps smooth out relations with Russian players! WE HAVE TO GO.............................TO AT LEAST ONE MORE!!! If the games were in Canada or the US for 2014, this would be a talk of the 2018 games!!! Not fair but true!!!

The sad thing is the NHL will try and strongarm the IOC for some dough. The IOC is as arrogant as anyone and will laugh in Bettmans face. No way they open up this can o' worms and start handing over money. If hockey gets it why not curling and female pole vaulting? Lose lose for everyone.

Great players made the Olympic Hockey game relevant.

If you ever wanted to get rid of Bettman then this is the best thing to happen. Do you really want to bleep off Russia? The country that sends agents outside their borders to poison presidentail candidates in the Ukraine with agent orange and destroys foreign reporters who oppose the russian gov? i think Bettman gets a knock at 4 AM from Sergei and at 4:15, the players are back in.

I wonder if Ovechkin, Malkin and the other Russian players will have anything to say about it.
