09:15 AM ET 08.29 | During happier times, Roger Federer drank champagne with Tiger Woods in the men's locker room, celebrating the Swiss Maestro's U.S. Open crown four years ago. They struck a solid friendship. Though Federer is in a slight rut, it's nothing compared with the bottoming out of Woods personally and professionally. As Federer looks to win his sixth Open in seven years, Woods is in New Jersey, trying to recapture his old PGA magic. Federer said he believes he and Tiger will be on top of their sport again soon. "I don't think he's getting upset by the opponents' playing," the second-seeded Federer said in rare remarks yesterday about Tiger. "I think it's more about his own game or the course. It's completely different in golf than in tennis."

Tiger is still good but his taking over and being unbeatable era is over...he may be the golden MAN once he gets into the senior league but he will win at times but not take it over like before. Age brings consistency but less victory. Federer is the best ever but once again age will bring him to a level where the others are waiting to take over.

Getting caught was the best thing that ever happened to him
