09:24 AM ET 08.29 | Ravens pass rusher Terrell Suggs could be poised for a big year. He's dropped 20 pounds and is down to 263, and is playing with the same kind of explosiveness he did early in his career when he was a double-digit sacker. Part of Suggs' resurgence is he's clicking with new Ravens outside linebackers coach Ted Monachino - who coached him at Arizona State.

When cutting and pasting for a large audience, one must be careful with character set changes. Clean them up and you don't get '???" instead of apostrophes.

OK ...what

He's 'clicking' with Monachino and that's the reason for his resurgence? Why would that make him lose weight? Did Ted want him to fit into those stiletto heels and that little black dress?

Nice, very nice.

Last year of his contract? Does that explain his increased motivation?

It explains it more honestly, that's for sure.

Didn't he just sign a new contract last year. Do you think he's looking to pull a Revis? If he did that he'd end up in the dead zone with Adelius Thomas.

Yes he did. Six years for $63M. That came with a $10M signing bonus, and there's a $23M option bonus with his name on it in March. Maybe it's the new OLB coach after all.

Nah. That never happens.

That whole "overtrained athlete syndrome" excuse that Bud Adams was trying to sell to Goodell still cracks me up.

I hope the commish retained enough composure to not laugh in Bud's face.

Is Suggs going to dress up and play Santa at the Ravens' Christmas party this year?
