10:37 AM ET 08.29 | Ravens running back Willis McGahee did not play last night, but a team official said don't read anything into it. The official said McGahee did not play simply because the Ravens were trying to get others more playing time. Soon after the game. Ravens offensive coordinator Cam Cameron and McGahee stood around in the locker room joking, and Cameron talked to McGahee about his lack of playing time and why. As they talked, they were soon joined by starting running back Ray Rice and fullback Le'Ron McClain. If there was going to be some kind of trade, it didn't appear that way in the locker room as they all joked and talked about the game. McGahee was not upset at all.

It's not like in the case of a player like McGahee that they keep him up-to-date on any trade discussions.

Any time a team has a wealth of RB talent, trade talks come up. If it's me I love having both McGahee and Rice with McClain as well.

WOW! Two Ravens threads side by side. Were all the other teams that boring in last nights games. I'm surprised they don't have a third thread about Stallworth's broken foot. At least you don't see the words arrest, weapon, rape or DUI.

So all the preseason news and this is what they pick? Are these the reject interns from TMZ?

So a player with known attributes for the team is not played in preseason on a team with a log jam in the backfield that it needs to figure out and this is a trade rumor?

August 29, 2010  02:49 PM ET

maybe he should chat with laurence maroney about little or no playing time

August 29, 2010  03:05 PM ET

Maybe the fact they threw the ball 34 times the first half and kept using their hurry up offense had something to do with it. I don't think they were working on the running game.

Cam Cameron proved to the NFL that he was not to bright while coaching down in Miami; But there is no way Cameron being Baltimore's Offensive Cordinater is going to let McGahee get traded out of Baltimore...
