Why Lithuania's upset is bad for Team USA

08:20 AM ET 09.01 | Lithuania upset Spain, one of the tournament favorites, which should be a good thing, right? Wrong. Spain will likely win its last two games (Canada and Lebanon left, two teams that well below Spain in talent). They will finish third in Group D, which means in the first round of the 16-team single-elimination tournament part of the World Championships they will likely play Greece. ... The USA could have to face the Greece/Spain winner, followed by Argentina, followed by host Turkey in the finals to win it all. That is no easy road. Tougher than hoped for.

lets get real, I know the worlds play has improved over the last 10 years.......but if we lose to anyone its a freakin embarrassment. it doesn't matter who we play, we should win....and should want to beat down the best teams

Very, very true.

Now you know why Lebron didn't go. He knew the road will be tough.

Of course but if Kobe, Wade and Howard are playing he's in for sure... watch him clamor for the olympics. Instead of leading his people to victory he went to another city to be led to victory... what a punk! All the big time players carry teams on their backs... Jordan did that so many times... in crunch time when the game is on the line its 1 on 5 but he always makes something happen... that's leadership and heroism. Same with Kobe and all the stars the league has seen... McGrady, Carter, Iverson, Wade the list goes on... but that punk its like he was born totting 'HELP WANTED'... no wonder his ex owner called him a coward.

I don't know about Lost, but I bet Gloria James does. That crack head knows no bounds when it comes to carnal delights.

No doubt. Have you heard Lebron and Delonte are in a paternity fight over Gloria's latest pregnancy? Apparently ever since the news broke out that Delonte has been given the business Lebron took it upon himself to make sure the job gets done right. In an effort to settle the dispute Miss Gloria James proposed the unborn child be named Lebronte. Although the news was acceptable to Delonte's camp there's a few sticking issues that needs to be ironed out most notably which camp will be handling the business moving forward. Lebron's willing to share but apparently Delonte is not down with that...

Take it a game at a time, Bros.

USA is having too many close calls. They barely managed to slip past Brazil and Spain because those two teams couldn't make a shot at the buzzer. If USA keeps this up, than they might be in for a unpleasant surprise in the future.

Oh come on, we're not doing TERRIBLE seeing as we lost our whole roster from the Olympics and last Worlds. It is true that we shouldn't be having too much trouble but the boys deserve a little slack

but keep in mind a lot of the elites for other teams are not playing either. no Pau, Nene, Parker etc so the US should still win this
