08:19 AM ET 09.03 | Sam Bradford, welcome to the starting quarterback fraternity. Whether [Steve] Spagnuolo makes the decision official today or strings it out until after the weekend, there no longer is any question that the Rams' No. 1 draft pick is ready to take on the daunting task of becoming an immediate NFL starting quarterback. In the span of a few short months, this 22-year-old kid has answered every question thrown his way. He proved with a sensational pre-draft workout that displayed a spectacular show of arm strength and accuracy that the Rams had to take him as the No. 1 overall pick. And no sooner than he was taken with that first pick, an entirely new set of Q&As popped up.

Linemen drool at the chance

I hope he is packing a boatload of Excedrin.

Boom!! What's happening? He hasn't seen any challenge yet. This will be a looong year for Mr. Bradford. We will see how he copes with it.

This team doesn't deserve a great quarterback. I really hate it when great players never get to show their stuff in the playoffs, because the team around them doesn't belong there.

You read about greatness coming for Tebow and nothing but questions for this guy. Why is that?

Agree. He was a great pick for them. Might as well get started now. It is not like there is someone in front of him that he will learn anything from.

Right. Ask David Carr.

Kid is the real deal. Hope they can protect him long enough to show it. How good would this guy look in a Dallas uniform with those receivers?

September 3, 2010  09:46 AM ET

There is no doubt about Bradford's ability. He just needs time, time to throw the ball; and time, preppy, is the one thing his offensive line can't give him.

As I said before... Peyton will be figured out this year and have one of his worst years statiscally..Mark it down.

September 3, 2010  10:09 AM ET

Just hope he doesn't get hammered behind that O-Line to the point he is shell-shocked and ruined like David Carr was.
