Houllier to become director of football at Villa

09:56 AM ET 09.04 | Reports out of England suggest that former Liverpool manager Gerard Houllier is set to be unveiled as the head of a new reshaped Aston Villa boot room. Villa's American owner Randy Lerner is planning a new three-man strategy with the 62-year-old Houllier set to take on the role of Director of Football. Houllier will head the operation and work with Kevin MacDonald, who's expected to be named manager.
