10:40 AM ET 09.04 | Seven-division world champion boxer Manny "Pac Man" Pacquiao was recently interviewed by BoxingScene.com's Bill Emes and Michael Marley and, despite describing MMA as being "too brutal," indicated that he would be interested in competing in the sport were his management and promoters not against the idea.

Can you say Shredded beef Taco please!

Funny how guys in a sport where it is okay to bash someone's brains in for 12 3-minute rounds find the UFC "too brutal". Manny, listen to all the former boxers out there who can't put two sentences together, then listen to MMA athletes speak. Which sport is too brutal?

The only true way to have an MMA and a Boxer fight is to go at it with bare knuckles only.

Just like he would absolutely dominate them in the ring.

Depends on the sport, in MMA Manny would get beat but in boxing he would own that debate.

I don't think any one is disputing that. MMA fights don't train boxing 100% of their training time. Boxers do. When you put a generalist against a specialist, under the specialists rules, they are expected to win.

September 7, 2010  11:54 AM ET

It's only the Boxers running their mouths saying they can beat an MMA fighter under MMA rules. I don't recall any MMA fighters stating they could beat a boxer under boxing rules? With the exception of Anderson Silva, but I don't think he was saying he could beat any boxer. He was more or less just saying he wanted to give it a go if I'm not mistaken.

Agreed, was thinking the same thing. For a guy to stay he would like to try it, that is very different from mouthing off about whose sport is better, more difficult or whatever.

excuse me? a racist is a racist, What is the difference between a white racist and a black racist. Your comment is racist. Racism will continue to hold weight in this world as long as individuals such as yourself make distinctions between black and white people. You are an ignorant person.

Excuse me? The fact that you make distinctions between racist people based on their race is racist in itself. There is no difference between a black and white racist. They are both ignorant individuals who judge based on something that holds no weight in the content of an individuals character. You are an ignorant person for expressing your feelings towards black racists over white racists. Yes black people faced more hardship than white people did, yes they faced brutal acts of racism. That does not mean that they deserve to be expected to be 100% free of human ignorance. Your differentiation between black and white racists shows your own prejudices, may it be towards black people or white people. Black Racists and White racists are the same, not just because they are both ignorant individuals, but because they are both human, capable of human emotions and expression of emotion. Ignorance(Racism) falls within that category.

You are an ignorant Person.
P.S. Floyd Mayweather is going to rip Manny Pacquiao apart. Isnt it funny that Pacquiao only jumps on the opportunity to fight money when his head coach is in jail? Manny views this as the one advantage he would have on mayweather and thats why he wants to fight him. Manny is scared and knows that after all the trash talk and all the hype, a loss from pretty boy floyd will diminish his legacy.

my bad about the two comments. I thought the first one did not go through properly.

It's funny that you got so worked up and missed the entire point he was making. The point he was making is the same point you're making. That a white racist and a black racist are both equally wastes of oxygen, however black people get a pass for being racists while white people lose their jobs over it.

If Mayweather were white and Pacquiao were black Al Sharpton and Jesse James would be sprinting towards the first camera they could find the second that ignorant, racist tirade hit YouTube.

But because Mayweather is black nobody seems to care. It barely made the news.
