Kimbo Slice wants to box

Sure why not. He can be the new Butterbean, king of the four rounders.

This makes total sense. I always thought that he could be a better boxer than MMA fighter. But he'll get crushed by a technician in the ring.

But Kimbo, here's what I would like from you: gather up some friends and start a street-brawling circuit. You know, do the stuff that you used to do on Youtube, but on a bigger scale. No pretenses of martial artistry. No respectful bows and talk of technique. Just the kind of fights that you would see in prisons and street corners. Loser says "uncle" or is stopped by the police.

Well, the Klitschkos will both break his jaw so no problem finding out.

Why are people still giving him air time?

He'll get schooled when he fights a good boxer......Even a journeyman would school him.....it's too late to learn boxing at his age......

He'll never get that far......I don't think he'll even crack the top 10 rankings to earn a title shot...

I'd pay to watch Mike Tyson duke it out with him. I am pretty sure other people will as well.

Question 4 U Mex...Just 4 the sake of argument, let's say he finds a decent barber, and actually gets in2 the top 10. A) What trainer could get him 2 actually throw punches instead of clubs? B) Would he stay in the heavyweight, or drop to try and exploit a possible power advantage? C)Given the existing set of contenders, who would be the least, and most vulnerable; respectively?

Look, I have 16 years boxing experience......I am currently a boxing instructor at a YMCA, and also train with professional & amateur boxers at boxing gyms here in the Houston area.....you can't get a late start in boxing......Yeah, the guy can fight......I'm sure he would do well against part-time boxers that don't have very good skills......but fighting a top 10 contender is another level.......

The heavyweight division right now is not a very strong division.....but these guys have amateur background.....BOXING is still a sport......it doesn't matter how strong or hard you hit.......you can't just get in the ring and throw haymakers & hope one will land.....a solid, experienced contender will just let Mr Kimbo punch himself out and outpoint him if not knock him out.......

Just another avenue for Kimbo to keep his ball rolling (and most likely get beat up some more)...

Hopefully he can get a bout with Jose Canseco...

He could win that one - and folks might pay to see it :-)

He won't crack the 10 ten at his local gym. He's not a pro fighter and definitely not a pro boxer. But here I am commenting on some stupid internet post about him. So I'm not hatin' on him...get that money while it's hot.

He couldn't hang in MMA why not go to a sport where punching is all he has to worry about.
