Cowboys bringing out Williams' weaknesses?

08:32 AM ET 09.06 | Former Cowboys receiver Patrick Crayton was asked Sunday if Roy Williams would live up to the expectations of the Cowboys. "Roy's going to be just fine. The thing is, you've just got to know how to use it. He likes to run and he's good at running. If you go back and look at all the films, the year he went to the Pro Bowl and while he was in Detroit here in March, they used him in the proper way. Take advantage of his strengths, don't bring out his weaknesses. ... You exploit their strong points not their weaknesses. Use them where they're good at. Don't try to make them change and alter to the person and type of player that they're not."

Oh....bringing...never mind.

I'm still surprised Roy has a job.

Isn't all that just another way of saying 'one-dimensional'?

I'm enjoying a lovely cup of Sumatra from Starbuck. If you were nearby, I'd be glad to pour you a cup. It gets the brain going even on a cold, rainy morning.

I'm drinking Chinese white tea. it will kick in in a minute.

It's obvious his strong suit is NOT running precise routs.

I can't believe I'm going to say this. . . gulp. . . maybe they should have kept TO instead of going out and getting Roy.

Naw, it was good for T.O. to become a mercenary and realize that after he wasn't signed immediately for savior-type contract numbers, maybe the diva-ness should be toned down. Wouldn't have happened had he stayed and the 'Boys would have been in locker room turmoil.

They were right in letting T.O. go. They should have kept all those picks instead of trading them away for a bag of beans. Jerry has not found his golden goose in that deal.

I'm having a glass of Early Times. A nice second cooperage blended.
Sad to see Crayton go and Williams still in Dallas, but I like seeing the young guys get playing time. You never know when we may find another Austin.

So... what Crayton is saying is that the Dallas offensive scheme emphasizes the fact that Roy sucks?

Yes. In particular, it's the part of the Dallas offense game plan that requires Roy to be on the field.

So...what Crayton is saying is the same thing everyone has been saying since Roy arrived. HE SUCKS!

Yes-only not as direct and not quite with the same eloquence as you Otis.

Actually...if you add up the money, Jerry did just fine...

Miles Austin was a 7th round pick who became a star and they cut TO to make that happen.

The deal for Roy has proved crappy, but if you look at what the Lions have got from the picks, Dallas did just fine.

Not to mention, Dallas's offense had it's best season EVER last year, with ZERO drama.

Now we add Dez Bryant to the mix and Dallas will be even better.

Dallas also cut Patrick Crayton...if you guys are not getting the message, Dallas is going with youth...period.

We questioned Dallas when they promoted Romo and it hit.

We questioned them again when they traded Anthony Henry for Kitna, allowing Jenkins to step up and he did...

Then again when Ellis was let go for Spencer.

Or how about TO for Austin?

And now this season with Flozell for Free, Hamlin for Ball and Crayton for Ogletree?

Dallas has quietly been making solid youth decisions...we should applaud them for it.

Not rip them....

Not early for me. I live in split days. Don't always know weather it is dark or light outside until I open the door to my cave. Then I have to look twice to be sure if it's AM or PM.

Ok, so you want to stay away from Roy's weaknesses. How do you work around the whole 'hands of stone' part of his game?
