08:07 AM ET 09.07 | A new location, a new number and a new ... signature. It's a season of change for LeBron as he has decided to revamp his signature, too. Since 2003, James has always signed his first name with a looping "L" that closely resembled the start of his uniform No. 23. Now he has tapered that with a more definable starting letter and added "#6" to each autograph. "It just feels right. This marks a new beginning for me," said James in an exclusive interview with Upper Deck, the sole supplier of his authentic memorabilia. "Miami represents a new chapter in my basketball career. I'm really looking forward to it. It's gonna be fun. And I'm gonna do what I can to the best of my ability to bring home a championship to that city."

That's some favorable numbers. I think its more like 10/90. No matter what Lebron does to look like someone else he will be america's most hated for a long time - RIP Michael Jackson. I told you the guy is not all the way up there... which freakin 25 year old changes his signature hoping it will make things better?... what kinda childish thinking is that? Did he run by this by someone?... makes me wonder if he has adult friends.... this sounds more like something you hear on the Simpsons...

September 7, 2010  09:05 AM ET

The real question is.. What kind of pen is he using when he uses this new signature? That's a must know. I blame the Herald for not asking the tough questions.

Good Morning Lost...let the LBJ hate begin....

Look if someone's dumb to think changing his signature will bring some good how can you even fathome he's sane enough to talk to let alone like? the only good that'll will come out of this is when mr west is coming.

Remember the 3 R's, Bro.

September 7, 2010  09:27 AM ET

it's great that Lebron Pippen is worrying about the major things in life...having a signature that just feels right! He already has a walk off the court after getting smoked in the conference finals walk that just feel right, a skip town to let somebody else win me a ring strategy that just feels right and a I'm so in love w/myself I need a hour long TV show to announce where I'm going to sign plan that just feels right

He is a 2nd fiddle of a man w/ a plan

Nah its more like when you know someone needs help yet they feel they're right and they keep hurting themselves and a whole lotta people. That's Lebron. Look what he did to the Cleveland franchise. He totally destroyed Gilbert's business.... for seven years the guy gave him everything he wanted. Yet he left deliberately did everything he can to make the franchise go into the pits... what kinda human being does that. Even the croog business men and politicians leave something on the table but this guy went all out against the man. Totally forgetting where he came from... I mean how poor and wretched his family was before basketball. You don't do that and expect to succeed... god don't like ugly.

yeah this is article is ridiculous...but we all know you hate LBJ for not going to the Knicks...

Nah... I'm so happy he didn't come to the Knicks. He can't stand the pressure in NY. I'm glad the way things worked out. We worked hard for a clean slate so Karma sparred us the curse. Lebron won't win a championship. No way. Even if he joins the Lakers they'd lose. His mind is too fragile. He's easily broken... he wasn't destined for greatness.

Kobe is the best player.
Then Durant
Wade.

That guy is just an athlete passer with a little more weight than Pippen with a turkey brain. NYC is not for him.

He is killing himself by lending his name out to stupid stories like this, which are most probably endorsed by Upper Deck.

September 7, 2010  09:58 AM ET

I can see it now, someone will take a basketball to the guys on Pawn Stars, and Rick will have to call in an expert to verify that the signature is indeed authentic coming from his pre-Cleveland playing days(he changed his signature when he was drafted by Cleveland also), and its worth anywhere between $1-$1.50
