07:54 AM ET 09.08 | His Week 1 starter named, Mike Tomlin isn't quite ready to look deeper into the crystal ball. Tomlin said Tuesday there's no guarantee that Ben Roethlisberger will be the starting quarterback when he returns from his four-game suspension. ... When asked if Roethlisberger would regain his starting job upon his return, Tomlin told Sirius NFL Radio: "I'm going to dodge that one and not artfully. I'm not going to back myself in a corner."

Smart. It's a sense of entitlement that got Ben into this mess to begin with. No need to encourage it.

Pittsburgh might even sit him out a few extra games. I don't think they expect to win this year.

I agree. Supposedly they were ready to cut Ben and move on. The Rooney's have worked hard to present an image of their family and their organization, and nobody messes with that.

I think its the idea of Rooney, Tomlin, the rest of the players, Pittsburgh PA, and all Steeler fans across the nation. Half of my family is from the greater Pittsburgh area and, although they never REALLY liked him in the past for all the crap he's pulled, they put up with him because he was a winner. Well, I think the sentiments across Steeler nation are that of "get him the hell out of here, for good".

The girl was over 18. No charges were filed, so the only crime committed is .....wait a minute, there was no crime. I guess football fans in Pittsburgh are just against premarital sex. And I thought the Amish didn't watch TV.
