One of the subplots to this year's Ryder Cup will be how the post-scandal Tiger Woods will be received by his teammates, their wives and the Wales fans. Well, we know how Woods is going to be received by the fans: he'll be mercilessly heckled in the tradition of the Ryder Cup, which means he'll get the business as he walks the fairway but respectful silence (we hope!) when he's preparing for his shot.

"Unfortunately I've seen it on both sides," Woods said. "They did it with Monty in I think three of the four team matches, so it goes both ways, and I've had that experience and understand how to deal with it and make it a positive thing."

just has to smile and realize he is worth a billion and the hecklers probably worth a few hundred bucks. i'd laugh if i was him.

Do you remember what he did to Stephen Ames in match play a few years back when he questioned Tiger???s game? That???s what he???s going to do to whoever his opponent is when he get heckled ...

but if you were him, then who would he be, you? talk about a split personality.

I can't imagine that the hecklers will phaze him.

Mike Walker continues to show the viewing public that he one of the worse sports writers on the planet.

Walker, you do not know what you are talking about--you never do.

First off, no one cares about Woods anymore. So there is no reason to bother him.

Second. Fans from Europe are not like the so-called fans here. They are polite. We are rude, stupid beyond belief, loud-mouthed, abnoxious, drunk and only at a tournament because it's something that's happening--like a Labor Day parade.

Then you throw in a dick-head like Paul (Karl Rove) Azinger and you have the makings of a mess.

It's not going to be like that in Wales. People aren't the pea-brains that they are here.

Walker, could you do us all a favor and stop writing about golf until you've had a long talk with Dan Jenkins and he can tell you something about the sport and its history?

That's exactly why I would love to see a Tiger vs Rory McIlroy match in the Ryder Cup. I think Rory has a lot more confidence in his game than Ames did though.

After the mega-divorce settlement he's not really worth all that. Remember..Elin came away with a "pant-load".

First, people obviously care about Woods or as you like to call him "scar" because people still talk about him daily.

Second, I was at the Ryder Cup at Valhalla and the Euro Fans were hammered obnoxious drunks. Your perception of Euro golf fans is quite different from what they are. I still don't have a problem with them. The passion both fan bases have for the Ryder Cup is what makes it great.

Third, I think you're confusing Zinger's passion for the Ryder Cup for a dick-head. I loved watching him show his emotion, it helped inspire the team.

Finally, I agree that Dan Jenkins is the man.

Those dippy Welsh aren't immune to the cult of personality.

They'll get their shots in on Woods.

I hate to say it........But Corey, I hope you get your dues by picking that SLIME...He's a Low-Life Scum.....THOSE POOR KIDS..............................

Way to set your distaste for Tiger aside and cheer for your country... USA! USA! USA!

September 9, 2010  08:19 AM ET

Set aside distaste for Tiger to cheer for the USA? My mind is fuzzy but maybe I recall the many quotes from Tiger on how badly he wanted to play in the Ryder Cup so badly so he could represent the US of A. Or was it for his pride, reputation and to keep his string going so he could break the record of Ryder Cup appearances?

September 9, 2010  08:33 AM ET

This sport is getting dragged right into the mud by hecklers.

It is impossible to be focused over a golf shot when someone yells out that your mother is a w*ore.

That's what happened in Valhalla. And, it was an American spectator who did it.

Golf shouldn't be about heckling and Paul Azinger knew that. That's why he is a low-life and that's why it was a dirty win. Corey Pavin knows that too. He has said as much.

So if heckling becomes a standard practice and tour events, thank Azinger.

September 9, 2010  08:41 AM ET

And, we should not blame Pavin to heavily for picking showboat. Ten will get you one that he was pressured into doing it either by Finchem or the TV networks. They probably told Corey they'd buy him a house in Vail, Colorado as a kickback.

Be a good boy, play along and we'll make it worth your while. Heh heh.

Can you believe the nut case in Florida? He has 35 followers and he thinks he's special.

I've got a woman across the street who isn't much different. She a Tea Party follower.

Nut cases abound.

there goes jonisagolfmoron again thinking he knows everything. european fans are polite?? yeah and i've got ocean front property in kansas you'd be interested in. they will be relentless towards tiger and every other american. personally i like the ryder cup and the rowdy fans. kind of makes it more like a real sport. does anyone remember when mark mcquire was in that golf challenge thing against other amateurs and pros. he told the crowd to start yelling like he was at the plate when he was standing over a 7 iron. he stuck it within 2 feet of the pin. now that was cool.

and by the way, leave tiger alone....obama is screwing the whole country. now that's still funny.

the only problem with talking to Dan Jenkins is that he still thinks Hogan is still alive.

September 9, 2010  10:02 AM ET

Has he ever been inappropriate? What goes around comes around.

Really??

I own an apartment building in a heavy residential neighborhood and many of my neighbors are low life slummers who while being able bodied don't work, instead choosing to suck at the government teat because they are stupid and lazy. They all have section 8 housing assistance, EBT food voucher cards, fuel assistance and government provided phones. Several of them even have cars that are subsidized by us. Their children are dirty and poorly behaved little miscreants and all of them are destined to flunk out of school so they may help perpetuate their parents careers.

No big surprise that they're all Democrats, eh?
