07:54 AM ET 09.09 | Not long after saying he was the victim of a "cutthroat, backstabbing business," Brandon Jacobs, was summoned to a meeting with Tom Coughlin, who was "surprised" by those remarks. Asked about that Wednesday, Jacobs cut off the question by saying "next question" and simply staring into space for a few moments. A few questions later, he got upset when asked if the key to running a successful, two-back system -- like the Giants did so well with Jacobs and Derrick Ward in 2008 -- was for the running backs to put their egos aside. "You think I'm stupid, aren't you?" Jacobs said before stomping out of the locker room. "You guys are funny, man."

That's the thing about football, it is a business and these executives are making business decisions, they're not thinking about what the player wants, they're thinking about the team as a whole, so basically it's out of his hands.
