08:08 AM ET 09.09 | Saying he plans on coming back an even better player, Kendrick Perkins, in a recent interview, also had some interesting words on the offseason. "Well, I mean, we didn't do nothing spectacular. We got Shaq, we got Delonte [West], we got J.O. [Jermaine O'Neal]. But it ain't like we signed no young Dwight Howards or anything like that. So if anything we just got older." ... Asked whether he was nervous about a lockout: "I'm not nervous. I think the players are willing to all go in and fight. I don't know, man. It's gonna be a lockout. It could get crazy."

What the hell is right. Step up and be the man then rather than complaining about what the team didn't do right. Can't wait for someone to take down Miami in the playoffs. Miami should be the most hated, NBA teams ever.

This guy....good lord. He really is a neanderthal.

Idiotic words from Perk. Not too smart going into his last year of his contract too.

Fa real tho, what are you thinkin man?!?

I think he's feeling a little threatened by the arrival of the 'Big Leprechaun'.

I am sure the Big Ego is going to be very happy to be called nothing spectacular by the guy he was hired to sub ... ;)

Maybe that's why he is the most silent and stone face player in the league.
Better to keep quiet that to put a foot in one's mouth ;)

He forgot Von Wafer, he is young and played well for the Rockets and over seas.. I think he will be a nice spark off the bench.

Celts got better. Replacing Wallace with the O'Neals is great then they got Delonte who is more reliable on both ends of the floor than Toni. Boston is way better than Miami... its pretty much Cleveland/Boston Dejavu... the best team will win for sure!

absolutely! but to dis your own teammates and organization. doc better sit him down and have a talk.

QUOTE(#17):

If they don't win it this year, he'll be gone as some team will pay him a little bit more than what Boston is willing to pay. still he needs to shut his yap!!!

Perkins is overrated. Slow, can push but not really defend, can't jump, no offense....but other than that he's world class!

September 9, 2010  10:20 AM ET

fact is....he's right....

two years ago: "If we had Garnett...."
ok, last year they had Garnett-no chip

Today: "If we had Perk last year"
Celtricks are an old folks home.
