Hull pushing Modano to score

Brett Hull's biggest job as special advisor to the Stars' hockey operations department might be to keep mike Modano on task this season, to help the franchise leader in pretty much every department unleash a game tailored for today's NHL. "I tell him to think about scoring goals," Hull said. "I told him with the rules changes [the crackdown on hooking and holding in 2005], he should be skating hard and going to the net. With his size and his speed, nobody should be able to stop him."

He does need to start scoring more. We need some goal scorers and it would be nice if we got it from mo, jere, and morrow as opposed to our 3rd and 4th line guys and our defense.

Mike's not a 18 year old kid fresh out of Junior who needs to be told what his job is. You'd thing he should be able to figure out some things for himself at this stage of his career. And where is his coach in all of this? (DC)

Modano is soft, and always has been. He needs Hull to light a fire under his a** (if it works) to do anything at this point in his career. Sad. I don't remember hearing that Joe Sakic needed help getting motivated for the season, or Jarome Iginla. Weird...

I think Modano will score plenty and the Stars will surprise a lot of people this season. The real question is whether Turco can win them a playoff series or two. They will make the playoffs, maybe host a series. Can't wait for the Season to start!

Turco carried them last year 71 in the play-offs,now you expect him to carry them ALL the way through the play-offs?How about the forwards start putting SOME pucks into the net.How about start from there.
