08:37 AM ET 09.09 | Canucks GM Mike Gillis isn't going to go the shy route. Asked if Stanley-Cup-or-bust was a fair expectation for the 2010-11 Canucks, Gillis said: "I think we're one of four or five teams that are considered to be capable of winning the Stanley Cup."

I think it's time to pull out the beachball avatar Hank.

Uh, Mike, the Blackhawks are still in the league.

Gillis said: "I think we're one of four or five teams that are considered to be capable of winning the Stanley Cup."

Really? I mean technically any team is capable of winning, despite the low probability. As for the Canucks, they need to actually beat someone in the playoffs before anyone is going to take this seriously.

Sure they're capable of winning the Cup. The question is will they? The answer is HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!

Hahahahahaha!!! Exxxxxcellent Smithers.

Capable? Of course, but Luongo has to actually live up to his alleged elite status for that to happen.

Roberto Luongo followed that up with "Did he really say that"?

The Canucks always seem to be just on the edge of competing for the Cup. They have enough offense to get them to the playoffs but always seem to be missing a piece or two to get over the hump so to say. It must be awfully frustrating for their fans.
