Would Vikes turn to McNabb in 2011?

08:01 AM ET 09.10 | In addition to questions about Sidney Rice, Chad Greenway, Pat Williams, Ben Leber and Antoine Winfield, there looms a large question mark hovering over 2011. The Vikings will face a monumental QB question after this season. They could try to acquire a veteran -- for instance, Donovan McNabb, Matt Hasselbeck or Kerry Collins -- for a stopgap season. The Washington Redskins' McNabb, whom the Vikings' Brad Childress coached in Philadelphia, seems most plausible. Or the Vikings could try to package players and draft picks to move up high in the 2011 draft and choose a QB around whom they could center the future of the franchise. At this point, the top QB for next year's draft appears to be Washington's Jake Locker. And he could be the No. 1 or No. 2 player taken overall, so moving up that high would be extremely difficult for the Vikings.

Let's first see if Donovan survives this season. The Skins O-line is below average and an injury could mean Donovan will be eating even more footballs on Sunday. He doesn't run like he used too.

If McNabb performs this year, I don't see Snyder letting him get away. For better or worse, Danny Boy doesn't get outbid very often.

There will be a couple of probable lower first round guys they could target like Ryan Mallet or Christian Ponder. I think they made a mistake by not addressing the need in this draft when Clausen was sitting there for the taking.

The Vikings could have had Jimmy Clausen and passed it up so Favre wouldn't be pissed. Now it looks like this is Favre last season (maybe) and the Vikings are the ones who are screwed. I guess Favre can't leave a team without screwing them first.
