08:19 AM ET 09.11 | The rivalry between the Cubs and Brewers isn't what it was a couple years ago, but it could get ugly now. The Cubs aren't going to like hearing that a fake press release was inserted with the game day press notes in the Miller Park press box describing a fake book which was supposedly authored by Cubs general manager Jim Hendry. Brewers Vice-President of Communications Tyler Barnes said they are looking into the incident, and that it was "impossible to know where it came from."They have not apologized to the Cubs or Hendry yet, but have spoken to the Cubs about the hoax.

What was the fake book? Was it at least funny?

If it was a fake book, it must have been about how shrewd Hendry is as a GM.

One would have to assume it would be extremely difficult to embarrass Jim Hendry or the Cubbies any more than they already are. And, pudman, you do a really great job bypassing the obscenity filters for a Cubbie fan. Is your Mom helping you? Are you trying to imply that there is no truth in the story that an fake press release was included in the day's press notes?

No, d.u.m.b.a.s.s., your mom is helping me. The only thing more embarrassing than this nonsense is a 50+ year old dork named Kenosha Mark who use words like Cubbies and pudman. Get your 500 pound crossdressing carcass out of your trailer and get a life, you freakin" Cubbies obsessed loser.

Here's a little taste -

It gets better. Here are just a few of the chapter highlights:

- Why I signed Milton Bradley.

- Why I released Casey McGehee only to see him hit 20 home runs and drive in nearly 100 runs for a division rival.

- Why I signed players to long-term contracts with limited trade options.

Did they use invisible ink in this fake book? It would be cooler if they did...

Are they looking for outrage from Cubs fans? If they are, the Brewers "fans" (again, the only reason people seem to show up to Brewers games anymore is to prevent their stadium from being renamed "Wrigley North", which it still basically is) are pretty dumb, because most every Cubs fan out there hates Hendry right now, even more so that he's retaining his job next season after such a poor job in the 2009 and 2010 offseasons.

The culprit has to be a Cubbie fan. What Brewer fan or Brewer employee would not want Hendry as GM of the Cubbies for life? On the other hand, only the Rickets family seem impressed with his results assembling their team.

And a decoder ring, got to have the decoder ring.

Whats the big deal, nobody is going to hear a press release from the Brewers anyways. They just feel comfortable thinking they have that fourth place slot in the division wrapped up. Cheap and Proud of it....

Wonder why the press release for this fake book was planned to be released at the Miller Park press box? Guess they were figuring more Brewer Fans would buy a book authored by the Cubs general manager Jim Hendry; Than Chicago Cubs Fans would

Maybe it's the latest installment of Stig and OC. I've been waiting 20 years for this.

Hendry must be very proud of his ability to hustle, scheme and scam in order to hang on to his job. I'm afraid this guy is going to be locked in as GM for a long time. The Ricketts simply don't possess the fortitude to change the status quo.

see, i don't think he's scamming to keep his job. i think that the ineptitude in that organization is so great that those above hendry don't perceive him as being a terrible GM (which he is). this is painful for those of us who are cubs fans b/c nothing is going to change until significant house cleaning occurs among upper and middle mgmt.

cub fans pretty universally want hendry dead. so yeah, i would agree that he's not gonna sell a lot of books to cub fans.
