NBA sets sights on India

08:50 AM ET 09.11 | After its runaway success in China, the NBA has turned its sights on India. But basketball is not terribly popular here; as one sportswriter says, "genetically, we're not inclined that way." NBA officials say they're determined to build a sport that was introduced to the country by missionaries in 1903, and today is played, enthusiastically if not always well, by a few million Indians (which may sound like a lot, but in a country with 1.2 billion people, it remains a niche activity).

The NBA should focus on the team in the US that arn't making any money before they worrie about bring basketball to a country thats doesn't care.

how any basket balls , shoes , t-shirts , jocks , and other stuff we can sell to those people at 40 to 60% mark up??????
oh no i'm sorry the nba is going broke they have to do this to raise more money so they can pay the players - with out the nba doing this the fans might never see a game and that would be to bad ----- yes, we at the nba go through this kind of pain becouse we love our fans ??
this sounds like stuff i would tell my 2 exwifes or the bar tender before i asked for credit!!
