07:41 AM ET 09.13 | While Jim Caldwell would say postgame he was "not quite certain the extent of it yet," there was some concern Bob Sanders' injury may be serious. There are unconfirmed (for now) rumors in league circles that Colts safety Bob Sanders' elbow injury may in fact be a season-ending biceps injury. What we know for now is that no one is saying anything yet. The team is quiet and the player is quiet.

'Twas a shock to see Indy lose.

Arian Foster... who knew?

When he plays he is great but I read that he has missed more games than he plays. Maybe he should think about himself and remove himself from the game. Think of your future outside of football.

Bob Sanders suffering a season ending injury, wow he almost lasted a half. that guy has gotta just retire after he's done stealing money for past 3 years.

Sincerely,
Gilbert Arenas

Well-stated, Otis.

Very nice. The poet in you has come out this morning Otis.

Indy faces another team next week with a strong defense and a good running game. And a QB named Manning.

September 13, 2010  09:44 AM ET

If Indy isn't worried about that defense, then they ought to be. The window is closing fast.

September 13, 2010  09:57 AM ET

if this is true, then better now than later in the season. The Colts need to stay focused. Run the dam ball you would have won the super bowl if you had.

September 13, 2010  10:07 AM ET

Sad story. Nothing but respect for the guy. Colts really dont lose anything with Bullitt and Bethea back there

With all the injuries yesterday, you have to ask a couple of things about the "extended season."

The pre-season was a boring joke. Starters hardly played. I'm suspicious that the owners ordered this, to make fans hate pre-season and be eager to swap 2 games for regular season contests. On the other hand, did this decision affect the readiness and conditioning of the starters?

With guys going down for the count in Game 1, what does that say about who will be left to play those extra games?

Much as I like watching real games, not pre-season fluff, I've definitely moved into the "keep the season at 16 games" camp.
