Young Bruin earning roster spot

Posted: Tuesday September 25, 2007 05:18AM ET

A center only two seasons removed from junior hockey is fast making his case to be Boston's No. 2 disher. "He's got beautiful hands," P.J. Axelsson said of 21-year-old David Krejci. "He sees the ice really, really well." Given the Bruins' depth up the middle, Krejci might have been targeted for a return to the AHL to start 2007-08. But he may have played his way onto the big club as the third-line center, especially given the way he's worked on his two-way game in camp.

good for the kid, you gotta love seeing the young guys have a shot. Especially on a team like the Bruins, who are need of some talent enywhere they can get it. Now, if they can dump Murray off on some other team, they can continue putting the pieces together to get this team back into the playoffs

True that ! Murray should go . . . . . . perhaps L.A. ,San Jose , Coyotes or something . The guy can score and all , but . . . . . . he's losing a step in speed . . . at least inwith those teams he won't be depended on to carry the offencsive load all by himself . . . . bostongm ? what's your take ?

Murray is a 40 goal scorer with a deadly one timer that they need badly on the powerplay.I can only see them trading Murray if they're out of the running at the trade deadline, which many "experts" have predicted about the B's.Hopefully Murray can stay healthy this season. With Savard dishing the puck Murray could be made even more valuable if he puts alot of pucks into the net,and getting a better young player at the deadline,IF they are indeed out of it.Boston has talent, but i guess im the only one that sees this.Plus the thousands of the loyal die-hard Boston fans!!!Go Bruins!!!!

hahaha, yeah, bostongm, that's what you meant, haha. I'm not as convinced that the Bruins will suck this year either, I don't think its that unbelievable that they will at least fight for 8th, it all depends on the goaltending and what kind of defensive help Fernandez will get. Murray isn't going to get better though - while Savard is awesome, he's still not Joe Thornton. Murray MAY do well this year, but really, at his age, he's DESTINED to be a Leaf soon enough

Unfortunately no one wants Murray and his albatross of a contract. If Murray was still any good he'd already have about 10 goals given the fact that all he does is shoot the puck. No passing, no checking, no defending, just shooting.

He is the worst "goal scorerer" in the league. A sniper with no bullets left.
