Penguins captain Sidney Crosby left practice early yesterday when he began to feel groin soreness. His status is day to day. Crosby said the pain came on gradually during the workout and was not as severe as in November, when he missed three games because of a groin injury. He was hoping to take part in military style workouts and team building at the United States Military Academy later yesterday, today and tomorrow.

Pens should just give the Kid the rest of the preseason off - you KNOW he's going to show up in shape, and you KNOW he's going to make everyone around him better...unless he can't skate because of a bad groin. Do whatever it takes to heal it now, so it isn't an issue later.

A small problem now, can become a big problem latter, if he doesn't look after it properly. Groin problems are tough to get rid of. (DC)

Crosby is one of the best things to happen to the NHL. People can be bitter about it all they want, but he isn't a villian character like a barry bonds, he is a good guy and if he was on your team you'd like him too.

Hope he will be okay. I don't like him but he's the best hockey player on the earth. Hope he's alive and well ! GO HABS GO, good luck Pittsburgh but you'll have to face so many great teams before winning the cup (NY Rangers, Ottawa, Detroit, Anaheim San Jose, etc.)

Durk Diggler did put in perspective when he said he isn't a villain character like Barry Bonds.

He is a fantastic player but being a Flyers fan, I can't stand him. Had he not played for a rival (both in state and division) I would be much less critical of him.

Being a die hard hockey fan, he is what the league needs as a poster boy for the sport.
