Michigan aimed at another 4-0 start?

08:08 AM ET 09.13 | Is Denard Robinson college football's MVP after two weeks? He's certainly the most valuable player to Michigan through the first two weeks. But there aren't awards for September. U-M should easily roll to 4-0 before the Big Ten opener at Indiana, and that's really the next time that we'll truly pay attention to Robinson's exploits because that's more of a must-win for this program than the Notre Dame game.

Why the question mark?

I hate it when I'm right about Notre Dame problems, but it was painfully obvious what was going to happen. The thing is, though, had Dayne Crist not missed the first half, the outcome would have been different, I think. They were CLEARLY deflated when he couldn't come back in, and the hole that they dug themselves into was to great to come out of in the end. That offense looks night and day different when he's in as opposed to when he's not. I'm not sure what Montana and Crist were thinking, though, throwing the ball out of the endzone at the end of each half instead of at least giving one of thier guys a chance to make a play. An interception doesn't hurt as much in that situation as bad as completely botching the play does. Give Kyle Rudolph or Michael Floyd a chance to make something happen. Hitting the kid with the tuba doesn't getyou any style points.

Perhaps. On their way to a 4-8 finish.

You do realize they have Indiana, Illinois, and Purdue left to play?

Full disclosure..I am a loyal UM fan. Robinson is worlds better than he was last year, and has certainly been the most dynamic player so far. However, I am proceeding with caution. Last year they had an emotional win over ND and started out 4-0 and things didn't finish well.

They look much better on both sides of the ball and offensive line. But the Free Press has it right on, conference play will be the real test.

They will lose one of these games and improve to 6-6.

Can they give the heisman to someone who can't yet tie his shoes?

Yes!

Okay, so meeeechegan beat a N.D. team that's rebuilding...again. And a basketball school to start off 2-0. Whoop-de-do!! These four games they will lose, Iowa, @ Penn State, Wisconsin, @ Ohio State. And they could have trouble versus MSU and needed a miracle to beat Indiana last year. If they can go 4-4 in conference I'll be suprised. And somewhere in there will be a game where they beat themselves, so even a 3-5 in conference record wouldn't suprise me. We will just have to wait and see if D. Robinson will be able to run all over teams that have solid defenses.

QUOTE(#13):

This I disagree with. Michigan needs Denard to run the ball 25-30 times a game to win, he is too slight of frame to keep that up.I would put the kid in Mothballs for the next two games and get him ready for Big Ten play.

Why do you constantly diss M?

Face it if M sucks, is one dimensional, won't win another game, then where does that put you're hollowed Golden Domers?

In the toilet where they belong.

Most people don't like Rodruigez, similar to how they do not like Coach Saban, although Saban has a little better resume.

You've got a good one in that Robinson kid, and it makes me actually want to watch Michigan games.

QUOTE(#23):

Michigan is terrible.

They have been terrible for 2008-2009. Other than that, you have to go back to 1984 to find their most recent non-winning season.
