Garrett on hot seat in Dallas?

07:37 AM ET 09.15 | Are the Cowboys' offensive struggles the fault of their offensive coordinator? Yes, Alex Barron had an awful game, but he wasn't the only offensive player making errors. He just made the last one, and the most important one. Six players committed at least one penalty. ... Now that doesn't mean Jason Garrett isn't at the epicenter of the issues, because he is. He's the man in charge. When things don't go right, it's his responsibility to get it fixed. This is his fourth year. Two years ago, he was bad. Last year, he was average. He needs to be good like he was in 2007 for this team to maximize its potential. The talent is there, but unless Garrett figures out a way to minimize the mistakes and get his unit into the end zone then this team is going to struggle all year.

Hell yeah he's on the hot seat!!!

Has been for awhile.

If he isn't, he should be. Horrible play calling and total lack of discipline on offense both fall on his doorstep.

Well No ****.

September 15, 2010  07:53 AM ET

A lot of people saw this coming, except Garrett of course.

September 15, 2010  07:55 AM ET

Garrett couldn't find a running game if it ran up his arse.

It's funny how at one point this guy was all but the next head coach for the Cowboys. Doesn't look that way anymore, huh?

He should be, he's always trying to outsmart everybody instead of trying to win games.

September 15, 2010  08:36 AM ET

Please say it isn't so. I thought T.O. was the blame for all the offensive problem in Dallas. Heck if you listen to some of the reporters and some of you guys, it was his fault for everything. Not saying he wasn't part of the problem. Look anyone with a TV can see Jason needs to step up his game. He had one great year (Dallas was 13 - 3) and since then he has been doing OK at best. But it is only 1 game so let's give it some time. Now if Dallas starts 0-2 or 0-3, "Get your popcorn ready". Things will be very fun in Dallas.

September 15, 2010  08:36 AM ET

His play calling redundancy is sickening. It's time to start looking elsewhere.

September 15, 2010  08:40 AM ET

He has two pretty good Rb's why not use them. Wasn't it in 07 when Barber had 16 rushing TD's that offense was a beast. You need to establish the run for the pass to be effective. Middle school coaches even understand this why can't Garrett?
