07:35 AM ET 09.15 | The AFC East's marquee matchup rarely needs extra layers of drama, but Randy Moss helped fuel some of the fire in advance of Sunday's Patriots-Jets game. During the offeseason, while playing a word association game on the NFL Network, [Darrelle] Revis referred to Moss as a "slouch." Moss shrugged off the comment [in a recent phone interview] but made sure to remind Revis that he's coming to the New Meadowlands on Sunday to show what a "slouch" is made of. "Words don't really hurt me. I guess he's entitled to say what he wants to say," Moss said. "Then again, we're coming to the Meadowlands on Sunday, man, so you got 60 minutes of this 'slouch.' I don't really get into the trash talking, but if what he called me was a 'slouch,' then I guess the 'slouch' will be there to see you on Sunday."

Jets have a few other issues. see Welker,Wess.... see downfield passing to name a couple..

If Moss thinks the Pats don't love him, wait til he gets reacquainted with the Jets D. NE should win, but that doesn't mean Randy will have fun.

No team is better at playing these games than the Pats. Give them just a little disrespect and that's all they need.

It's not about to get any better for them.

this is a very key game for the Jets. If they get dominated again, and their offense (especially Sanchize) looks as pathetic as last week, the media that has been pumping them up all offseason will turn on them like a pack of rabid dogs.

I'm looking forward to this one. I hope the Pats blow 'em out in the first quarter. The Jets will put Revis on Moss, but then Tate will burn Daddy Cromartie and draw lots of interference calls. The kids in the defensive backfield will blink and Welker will be around them.

Sorry, fans, you won't see much of Zoltan, the Pats punter, "the most interesting man in the NFL."

Jets should have kept their mouths shut over the off-season. I hate when teams go out and brag about themselves... not too mention they looked completely pathetic against the Ravens. I think they should have been more focused on developing a lil team chemistry and not just thinking that just because they went out and got some stars this season would be a cake walk. I hope they have a losing season.

Cromartie will get so undressed his shoulder pads will end up around his ankles.

Not just the press, but the Jets themselves spoke so much pre-season trash and set their own expectations high. A coach wants his team to play to win with the goal of the super bowl, but you don't proclaim you're going there - you prove it on the field.

A J-E-T with a big mouth! Huh - What a surprise! This will prove to be a very entertaining year watching the Green & White 'try' to back up their talk. No doubt, Revis should be given his due.... and he should do the same with players like Moss. Slouch!? really... Keep lighting fires under the opposition guys... your fellow professionals appreciate the motivation.

I can imagine how many Jets quotes are hanging in the Pats locker room. They never heard of "shut up and play". but when you have the ego and mouth of that head coach...it trickles down to the players. so no surprise.

I look for a beat down to the out of shape Revis. Moss is not a player you call out in public. Get Randy pissed off and he will take you to the shed.

Yeah but I wouldn't even throw much Revis' way. Just fling it toward Cromartie or Wilson and you can trot down the field without completing one pass.
