07:48 AM ET 09.15 | Miami Heat guard LeBron James has taken his Q Rating south. Following James' move from the Cleveland Cavaliers to the Miami Heat, and the way he announced it in the ESPN hour-show dubbed "The Decision," the general population has changed its opinion of the man nicknamed King. In January 2010, The Q Scores Company took a poll of the general population and found that 24 percent of people thought of James in a positive light, compared to a 22 percent negative opinion. ... LeBron's Q Score today? [Henry] Schafer says that now only 14 percent of the general population see him as a positive figure, a 41.6 percent drop, while 39 percent view him in a negative light, a 77 percent decline. In fact, LeBron is now the sixth most disliked sports personality, according to The Q Score Company, behind Michael Vick, Tiger Woods, Terrell Owens, Chad Ochocinco and Kobe Bryant.

Odd,

He has the second most popular jersey on the nba's store. Stop trying to make a story!

September 15, 2010  08:12 AM ET

Though many complain I have to admit as a clevelander I anxiously await my daily dose of lebronze bashing. Its alot less stressful than rooting for the team in the playoffs, and wayy more fun

Continuously trying to make a story out of nothing. **** - stop it T&R.

September 15, 2010  08:21 AM ET

A day without Lebron T & R story is like a day without sunshine.

That doesn't remove the fact that the guy is a bonafide self-indulgent arsehole! I would imagine, there are a ton of Heat fans buying his jerseys right now, but a large part of the country finally sees this bozo for who he really is. To put on an hour special to let your home team know you're leaving is just wrong. Michael, Magic, Bird, and any other greats would not need that attention to say where they're going. Of course, they wouldn't leave their teams, would they???

September 15, 2010  08:32 AM ET

i agree with most of you out there, what he did was self indulgent and he was leaving the Cavs the moment they got the boot out of the finals.
but let the guy get on with his life and play basketball and see if the decision he mad was the right one.
i hope so but if not make him look like the fool not you

I checked out cleveland.com, apparently the story hit yesterday and the diehards are hilarious. This negative lebron media is doing wonders for Kevin Durants image. People say david stern was behind the superfriends but i doubt it. That guy will take you from poster boy to step child in a heartbeat in the name of money. Remeber when Kobe was the future until colorado, so allen iverson is all of a sudden the face of the league. Got rid of him and now they are doing the same thing to lebron, sure they sell his jerseys but since when has a a guy like durant been elevated like he is now. KD is definitely a stand up guy tho i lived in okc last year he used to invite kids over to his house to play video games, no cameras no press just because. I met the guy out bowling with the starters with his basketball gear on and he takes me to get ice cream like we are hs buddies.

Yea i get that Im just saying Im surprised hes still on there even after colorado all those years ago and winning a title. His brand doesnt really seem tarnished and im pretty sure kobe got his Nike deal after all that happened, so for lebron thats a good thing not so much for the public

Come on...

It's popular because he just SWITCHED TEAMS... It's a new jersey, so all of his fans went out and bought it moreso than fans of players who will have the same jersey's this year (Durant, Melo, Paul Rose, Garnett, et al.).

Stop and think a little before you post.

Lostwill has something to do with this?

For some reason so many keep thinking the numbers always tell the story without thinking logically. A true statistic is that Kobe is always number 1 and he hasnt made any recent changes nor have the laker's jerseys
