Shanahan open to Jackson?

Redskins Coach Mike Shanahan would not rule out pursuing San Diego receiver Vincent Jackson on Thursday but noted that "we don't talk about people as well, for obvious reasons." The NFL ruled earlier Thursday that Jackson's six-game suspension would be only four games if the Chargers manage to trade him. Jackson has been locked in a contract dispute with the Chargers, and if they trade him, he could be available in Week 5. Shanahan offered few hints as to his intentions. "We'll always be trying to upgrade our football team, if that presented itself. We have people evaluating different people on teams all the time," Shanahan said.

Same old Redskins if they do it. Trade away top draft picks for talented malcontents and end up where you started. And the Chargers want value in return. Then the player wants a big , new contract. Isn't this what got Shanahan in trouble in Denver and one play off win in ten years?
