Steelers WR doubtful for Sunday

Wide receiver Hines Ward is "doubtful" for Sunday's game against Arizona because of a sprained right knee, Steelers coach Mike Tomlin said yesterday. On Monday, he said he was "fine," as he walked into the Steelers' facility, but then walked out with a knee brace and on crutches. If Ward does not play, Nate Washington would likely start at flanker for Ward, with Cedrick Wilson moving into the slot. Willie Reid also could dress for the first time as the No. 4 receiver.

Dang it!!!! I need him in my fantasy league.

It's ok, it's Arizona afterall....rest up Hines...

September 26, 2007  09:25 AM ET

He's flatout got the ugliest face in pro football.

September 26, 2007  09:30 AM ET

Ummmm I do not think so. I am thinking I think if one uglier. Give me a minute.

He looks like a chocolate man in the moon

Hines will play. The Cardigalls can play the silly little game of not saying who their starting quarterback will be, so we can play the silly game too, and have the Cards with their Fryed Chicken defense wondering whether they will have to face Ward or not.

KFC fried chicken, or Popeyes? Cuz it's makes a difference....

September 26, 2007  12:15 PM ET

I say KFC fried chicken, because the Cardigalls are a bird. The name represents the secondary of their defense, or lack there of.

September 26, 2007  12:34 PM ET

but MAN, KFC doesn't have those bisquits bro....and that spicy breading...

man am I fat....

September 26, 2007  01:14 PM ET

That's why they have their name, because of all that is missing. This may be blaspheme, but I've never had Popeyes.

September 26, 2007  02:14 PM ET

its pointless to risk him in a game that means little.

September 26, 2007  02:31 PM ET

Those spicy chicken strips from Popeyes make life worth living.

Oh, and the Steelers are going to roll all over the Cards next week.

September 26, 2007  04:11 PM ET

Hey P. o. o. p. y. sounds like you need a hug.

September 26, 2007  04:36 PM ET

Reid will roll.

September 26, 2007  04:44 PM ET

The only meaningless games are those you play when you already have your division wrapped up and a first round by. This game is very important regardless of who it is against.

September 26, 2007  05:05 PM ET

BUT IT IS A GAME WHICH THEY CAN WIN WITHOUT WARD. REST HIM, THEY WILL NEED HIM 100% DOWN THE STRECH. HOWEVER WARNER MOVED THEM PRETTY GOOD WITH NO HUDLE, I DONT THINK HE WILL START(HE SHOULD), BUT WE WILL SEE HIM IN THE GAME. DONT UNDERESTIMATE THEM, PLUS THEY PLAYING THERE EX COACH.

September 26, 2007  05:11 PM ET

I agree totally. I do know that the bye-week is also coming up either after this game or the next. If he can play then play, because his short rest is coming up shortly I feel.

Is it just me, or does Hines Ward look like a pug?!
