08:13 AM ET 09.17 | They do get younger and younger, right? Although only a freshman, and competing in only two varsity games thus far in his career, running back Leonard Fournette is considered to be one of the top prospects at his position. "I know (LSU assistant coach) Frank Wilson was supposed to talk to him (Leonard) today," St. Augustine football coach David Johnson said. "I really think that he is the real deal. I have told a number of people that I have known for a while that he is definitely going to be my starting running back for quite a while. He is right at six-foot and probably around 210 pounds. He runs a legitimate 4.5 40, he ran that at the Southern Mississippi camp this summer.

It's ridiculous and meaningless. It's a non-binding commitment (exactly how can a "commitment" be "non-binding" is beyond me).
The NCAA should step in and stop this nonsense of "commitments" by kids that have more than a year left before college. There's way too much growing and development to be done between now and when he would actually ever put on a college uniform (IF he ever puts on a college uniform).
Miles Austin didn't play until he was a Junior in high school. Sebastian Vollmer didn't start playing until he was 14...in GERMANY! Todd Marinovich was trained from birth to be an NFL QB. It's nonsense to try and project what kind of athlete a young kid will be in 4-6 years.
They just need to let the story play out before drooling all over these kids.

I hear ya. I don't think this guy lasts much longer.
6', 210 pounds who runs a 4.5 40 in 9th grade is impressive though.

Recruiting 15 year old children and the massive arrests in the SEC particularly at Florida; how can any of these programs have any pride. Loose enforcement of rules and regulations, cheating on a massive scale, established programs playing 4 cupcakes each year makes me vomit when I see this crap on TV.
