After failing to qualify for next week's Tour Championship, Tiger Woods has one last chance to conclude what has been a dismal season on a winning note. That opportunity will come at the Ryder Cup Oct. 1-3, and Padraig Harrington for one thinks Woods will make the most of it.

"The Ryder Cup could be the pinnacle of his year, like it could be for me," said Harrington of his fellow wildcard pick. "He will be in a fighting mood for the week, in a mood to perform."

"He's not coming into this Ryder Cup having achieved a lot of his goals this year and he's probably thinking, 'I want to play well to make it a successful year'."

He may be in a fighting mood, but I don't know how much he's got left in the tank this year.

Fighting to make the cut!

You would think after his wife gave him what for with that golf club, he would put his fighting days behind him. Then again, Dana White will probably sign him to fight Kimbo.

Ya beat me too it Ric. I figured his ex took the fight right outta him with that 9 iron. Although, Kimbo is a fraud, maybe Tiger the Roid boy would kick his ****.

And now he's listed as one of the six most hated athletes in America. For heaven's sake, don't tell Brandel Chamblee or Samantha.

Can you imagine Brandel announcing that during one of his stints?

Hey Brandel, you can officially remove your lips from Showboats rear-end now. Time to move on.

Don't forget the PGA of America after the PGA Championship. Listening to him made me want to puke.

I am by no means a Tiger hater, but seriously how is he on the Team ? When did advertisers and network exec's get to pick who is on the roster ?

About the time Beman came strolling along, dug in, and showed TV Tim the finer points of selling-out.

Agreed. I don't 'hate' him either and have long been an admirer of how well he could, and has, played. I've always thought his attitude on the course was childish, but that doesn't change his talent and ability. Neither does his frat boy attitude toward women. But, he ain't playing worth a **** right now and how he's on the team is beyond me. It must be 'political correctness'.........Pavin would probably be accused of being a racist if he was left off.

I'm sure he'll meet some nice young ladies over there and keep up that phoney Tiger image we all have come to realize was a giant publicity campaign. Tiger's don't change their stripes.

Good Point. I hate that ever looming wrongly placed race card factor. I can think of at least 4 other Pro Golfers that would be a better chance of success choices for the Team.Although if Pavin can be Capt. it only fits that Woods is deemed ready to be on the roster. How did Forrest put it " stupid is as stupid does"
