Croyle's time nears in K.C.

Chiefs coach Herm Edwards acknowledged this week that he thought about replacing Damon Huard with Brodie Croyle during Sunday's game against Minnesota. That admission would seem to indicate that Croyle's time isn't far off. Edwards said Thursday that he might make a switch in the middle of Sunday's game against San Diego or a subsequent game even if Huard isn't playing all that poorly.

The Losses will continue to pile up then. Croyle is GARBAGE!!!!!!!

That's got to help Huard. Most QBs don't play well when they're looking over their shoulder, instead of looking for the blitzing S.

I hope Herm's time is over soon.

this just in, chiefs management says herm's time in KC is nearing an end.

I watched that Hard Knocks show just enough to see that Croyle isn't starting material.

But hey, he's in the same mix as about a third of the rest of the starting QBs in the league.

Wow...does this mean Edwards has acknowledged that both this season and his emplyment is over?

Just do a direct snap to the punter on first downs. You know, to catch the other team off guard.

That, or bring back the drop kick that McMahon kept alive all those years. Either way, whatever you do, don't THROW the ball...

Why not just throw Pigpen Thigpen in there and call it a season?

September 28, 2007  09:54 AM ET

just fold the entire organization...Chiefs suck

September 28, 2007  10:32 AM ET

Jerry Jones should keep his hands out of minnesota....he has a better chance of taking the chiefs to cali than the vikes....

Is Gunther Cunningham still there?

September 28, 2007  12:10 PM ET

That guy's a Dutch Dillweed!

I like herm the person, but he is sucking as a coach this year. Most of the teams problems were out of his control, the oline and having Croyle. But that being said, good coaches find ways for their teams to win. If Croyle truely sucks, and many KS fans have been telling me that. Then Herm might be the next guy changed, just at the end of the season. Maybe the owner should tell him that now so he can wonder the rest of the season like Huard will be this sunday.

Chiefs Fan here, i swear Herm Edwards has ruined this team, they do not play with any emotion, nor do they respect him. Huard, cant help the fact that Herm and Solari (KC Off cord) call worse plays than a 3 year old scribbles out before nap time. Go ahead and throw Croyle or Thigpen, or the guy that sits in the 3rd row. It wont help, when you run on first down, run on second down, then try a stupid draw on 3rd and 18 its not going to work, and that one slight chance Herm is going to throw it, its no less than 3rd and 15. FIRE HERM and get someone in there that can atleast tie there shows and come up with a decent gameplan, rather than trying to figure out his next catch phrase he is going to say, since HE LOVES to hear himself talk.

I am a KC Chiefs fan and I am ready to throw a paperbag over my head.

Herm Edwards...man you fcking suck. Way to ruin a team.

If Hard Knocks gave a true picture of Herman Edwards, the Chiefs are in trouble. The team seems to have no direction. Herm was more concerned about getting hot Krispy Kremes than the players.
Croyle was gruesome in preseason but this was no surprise. He was a value draft pick (3rd round), not expected to be a franchise caliber quarterback. Switching back and forth between Huard and Croyle will further diminish both.
Too bad. The Chiefs were a watchable team, and Kansas City is way cool.
