07:58 AM ET 09.22 | Officially eliminated, Ozzie Guillen would still like to know where he stands. And he wants those answers quickly. If he's in the Sox' plans, then it's time for an extension. If he's not, then it's time to say their goodbyes now instead of waiting for the final year of his deal to run out. "I never talked to them that I don't want to come back," Guillen said. ... "But I want to know where I stand in this organization. I don't want to come here and work day-by-day. I'm better than that. I give this organization more than that. I deserve -- I'm not going to say respect -- but [I deserve] more consideration about yes or no."

I think the Cubs have one too many Venezuelans as it is.

If Ozzie leaves someone will make room for him.
Mets or Marlins- either one promises to be absolutely entertaining as hell... And if he goes- I see him landing at either one. He is crazy and could handly NY press but with either Loria of the Marlins or Wilipon of the Mets it will be a highly flamible situation every day in the clubhouse... Like people who watch NASCAR for the wrecks- people would watch the Marlins and Mets then...

He is done in Chicago, that team needs a new face leading it. I like him, but the team seems to have given up on him, even though they wont say so

He'll be coming to the Marlins....right after Bobby Valentine! There is no way. The Marlins are an organization in which the front office plays a big role in who plays, batting order, bullpen
roles, etc. Lots of control. I promise that he won't even be considered, given his track record as a loose cannon. They'll probably keep the guy they've got for a number of reasons, one is that he's done a decent job and the rest of the reasons are money.

He should call Ringling Brothers. They are always looking for clowns.

I can't imagine Ozzie scored any points with the ownership by airing this in the press. Of course maybe he wants to be cut loose.

why should Torre get all the money?...

Don't worry, this is just a case of Ozzie bein' Ozzie.............

No Ozzie is being a smart businessman. He and the world knows there's a dpzen or so openings coming and he wants to be involved from the start. Can't blame him.

He's a firm believer in public displays of affection.

Though Ozzie is a good manager, it might be time for a change on the South side. Not sure how much more (or better) Ozzie can do.
