Eloy Vargas, a five-star center from American (Fla.) Heritage, committed toFlorida on Wednesday night. The 6-foot-10 Vargas, ranked No. 10 nationally in the senior class by Rivals.com, turned down Pittsburgh, Louisville, Miami and Florida State. Pitt had been considered the front-runner since it began recruiting Vargas, but his stock soared with a strong summer, attracting two-time defending champion Florida.

6-10? Doesn't sound like he would have much meat on him...I will check back in a year to guage his progress

Read about him. That's a good pickup for the Gators.

If it is not one and done...

By then Kentucky will be fully stocked. Florida will return to it's usual finish of 2-4 in the SEC East (and all the UF football fans won't have even noticed).

Great pickup for the Gators!

Oh, and "ships"? You obviously don't understand the allure of attending a school with back to back national championships.

2-4 in the SEC. Riiiiiiiiiiiight.

they will have talent but not what they had to win championships. this kid is no noah and he sure is not horford. they will challenge but my boys in blue got the ncaas for at least two years.

Poughkeepsie - you obviously don't know the story behind the "Oh Fours." Out of the four of them, only one (Brewer) was a MacDonald's All-American. This recruiting class was initially viewed as much weaker than Donovan's previous classes. This is EXACTLY what allowed Donovan to take a bunch of relatively unknown players, without huge egos or feelings of entitlement, and mold them into the epitome of a TRUE TEAM, without the typical selfish, overconfident attitudes. Point being - you can't say these kids "are no Horford/Noah" until you see them after a year under Billy's guidance.....
