08:00 AM ET 09.23 | Ryan Mathews remained optimistic he'd play Sunday in Seattle despite a high ankle sprain. "They're going to go on how I feel," Mathews said. "I feel good ... I don't think it was that bad. They're going to take precautionary measures to make sure my career isn't going to be upset over an ankle ... Something that could be a week, if I don't treat it right could be six weeks." The rookie tailback was tackled and had his ankle rolled in the first quarter of last Sunday's game against Jacksonville. He did not return to the game.

I don't know about ready.. maybe questionable. Those high ankle sprains take a little more time to heal.

They are the toughest to come back from but NFL trainers are the best. They need this kid in there.

... Oh and I'll take a polo shirt, 2 pairs of sunglasses and an AF shirt, whatever that is, sounds real cool though.

Maybe an AF shirt is a knock off on an AE shirt... kind of like "American Fruitfly"...

Of course, any player that doesn't feel like they can play is more likely to get cut.

This is the Seahawks they're facing. It's basically a practice. Why risk him?

Don't gamble on his getting hurt worse, playing Seattle is an automatic win. So let him rest for another game. Play your 4th string position players to give the starters a rest as well. This game will be a cake walk, the DBs will need some rest afterwards from returning thos INTs that Matt just loves to throw.
